Statewide compliance operations conducted recently indicate most licensees have a good grasp of the changes under the Tackling Alcohol-Fuelled Violence Legislation Amendment Act 2016 and have put sufficient systems in place to ensure they and their staff adhere to the new laws.
One common question posed to OLGR officers was if drinks such as scotch neat are prohibited from 12am. Scotch can be served neat providing the drink contains no more than 45mL of alcohol and is not served in a small glass.
In-venue signage explaining what’s okay and what’s not when it comes to serving drinks like shots and cocktails after midnight is available. You can find it under ‘Rapid intoxication’ at Compliance signage for licensed venues.
Download and display these and other signs for staff and patrons at your venue today.
