Approved extended trading hours from 1 July 2016

RSA News

From 1 July 2016, approved extended trading hours of licensed premises will cease at either 2am (generally) or 3am (for venues in safe night precincts).

You can still apply for up to 12 one-off extended trading hour permits each year. If approved, these permits will allow you to extend the service of liquor up to 5am for one-off occasions.

Your application for an extended hours permit must be lodged with the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) at least 21 days before the day of the event. It will not be processed if you lodge it with less than 21 days before the event, unless it is accompanied by written confirmation from the Officer-in-Charge of the Queensland Police Service for the relevant station, that there is either no objection to the application, or alternatively, agreement on the conditions to be associated with the permit.
